Billy & Megan's Wedding August 22, 2009

Saturday was a great day for a wedding, and I was happy to be back at the Drury Stone Chapel for such a day. This couple went to great lengths to make it the perfect day from the decorations to the food and even rented a Classic Rolls-Royce. Once we arrived to the Wellington Place inside the Gillioz Theatre, the party kicked it up a notch with some fun line dancing and meaningful toasts. Here are a few of my favorites from the day, enjoy!

Erin's Senior 2010 Session

This is Erin, a 2010 senior from a session late last week. I really don't have to write anything about Erin, the photos should really tell you who she is. However, I will because it is worth mentioning that she is an extremely talented artist ...who loves fashion and music, and is not afraid to smile or be silly. When she called us she said she wanted us because she wanted photos that were "out of the box", so that is what we did. I am always flattered when someone says a statement like this because it means that I am doing what I have set out to do, be a photographer with my own style. I know what she really meant, and it really wasn't hard because she is a unique person and it was simple to capture that, but I felt that it was a great way to get her point across. My favorite photo is the one of Erin posing with her self-portrait. I truly am pleased to show off these photos and I can't wait to edit the rest! Read More

McKenzie's Senior 2010 Session

This is McKenzie, another great 2010 senior. I was greeted with a big smile and I could tell right at the start of the session that McKenzie was not afraid to have her picture taken. She brought her vintage bicycle for some photos and also incorporated her dog Fifi. Her mom and sister were with us for the session and I thought it was so funny as I was taking photos, McKenzie's mom was getting her to give a big smile and her little sister was demonstrating some poses. I just wish I had gotten a photo of that! McKenzie, it was a pleasure working with you and I hope you enjoy your last week before school starts!

The Wiegers Family

I have posted engagement photos of Ed and Autumn recently, and now here are some photos of them with Ed's kids. They are wanting to get all the photos they can now because as we all know, kids grow up too fast. It didn't take us very long to get these photos, but it was well worth the short time that it took to capture these long lasting memories through photography. I hope you guys enjoy these photos as the kids return to the busy school year and I look forward to working with you again for your reception in November!

Aaron's Senior 2010 Session

I had gotten the privilege of working first with big brother, Rhett, and then with the next Senior in line in the Warden family, Aaron.  The two could not be more different and I really enjoyed capturing Aaron's personality to remember his "Seniorness".  Aaron will graduate in 2010 from Bolivar High School so we tried to incorporate his love of hunting and nature.  I have had a great time working with Seniors lately, they represent a very special time of life, the end of one chapter, soon to begin another as an adult.  Hope you enjoy Aaron, we finally got them shot for ya!

Nathan's Senior 2010 Session

Nathan's session was easy to capture as he has so many interests, we were able to incorporate them all into his Senior pictures! From tap, jazz, clogging and ballet to a kid filled with super school spirit, we covered his Ozarks heritage, his personality, and his many diverse activities! What a fun session, start to finish, Nathan is a young man well on his way to a bright future! Enjoy your Senior samples, the rest are on the way!

Kody & Mallory's E-Session

Kody and Mallory drove up from West Plains, Missouri and spent Sunday in Springfield just so we could do an engagement session. Mallory said she had been getting more and more excited as the session got closer because she has been seeing all the sessions and weddings that I had been posting. Well Mallory, you finally get to see some of your own photos and trust me, your wedding will be here before you know it! I enjoyed meeting you both and look forward to shooting your wedding in West Plains this October!

Brent & Chelsie's Wedding August 8, 2009

Saturday's wedding was in Hermitage, MO with a couple I worked with earlier in the year for their engagement photos. The bride had some great ideas for colors and gifts, my favorite was the special umbrellas she gave to each of her bridesmaids. They really came in handy to block the heat from the sun while taking wedding party pics in the heat of the day. After the ceremony, I followed Chelsie and Brent to a field across from the reception hall for some fun photos of just the two of them. I was especially touched when I saw a bride and groom from almost three years ago at the reception with their newborn baby. It really makes me feel good inside knowing that I get to record the beginning of a loving relationship that grows into the lifelong union of a man and woman that grows into a beautiful family. I truly am blessed with my job and hope you all enjoy this collection of images from such a beautiful wedding!

Dylan's Senior 2010 Session

I am happy to show off some images from Friday's senior session. Meet Dylan. Dylan was a tad reserved when we started, but by the time we went downtown, the real Dylan began to come out so I clicked away. Dylan is a driven young man that is working towards his goal of being a family doctor, although, as you can see in some of these photos, he still takes the time to enjoy his favorite music. Dylan, with your Senior year on the horizon, I hope these photos give you a jump start to a fun and memorable year!

Murray & Danielle's Wedding August 1, 2009

Murray and Danielle's wedding was a great way to start a busy August schedule for me. The couple and their wedding party were so much fun to work with and you could see that they are all very close. After a morning of hard rain, the skies dried at just the right time so we could go to the bride and groom's special spot on the way to the reception which made the bride ecstatic. Elegant design, tasteful dancing and fellowship made this a great way to celebrate their union and I was glad to be a part of it. Enjoy these few photos, it was very hard to narrow them down!
