This was my last June wedding, and it was a perfect day for closing out this popular wedding month. Samantha and Cory have been planning their event for a long time and put all the decorations together themselves. While the cake and flowers were very elegant, I would have to say that my personal favorite detail of this day was adding their little dog to the wedding party. The reception crowd was purely entertained by Napoleon Dynamite and his famous dance, that was performed by a friend of the bride and groom. As you can imagine, it had the entire crowd laughing uncontrollably. Congrats Cory and Samantha, I was very glad to be a part of your big day and enjoyed every minute of it!

Amber and her mom were definitely good sports with this session! When we started, there was an afternoon storm rolling in causing some strong gusts of wind while we were shooting at the top of a parking structure. Just in the nick of time we got some dynamic images with the stormy skies in the background before the rain overtook our session. So after regrouping for part 2, we drove over to Springfield Lake where the rain had paused. That's where I was easily able to connect with Amber and capture her true personality for her to show off in her Senior pix for years to come. Thanks for a great session and I hope you got all the mud off of your toes!

This Saturday's wedding was held in Bolivar, Mo; and if you have been there you know there are tons of amazing areas to use for some innovative pictures. Along with great backgrounds and elegantly designed details, I was blessed with a bride and groom that every photographer hopes for. Kenny and Kacey filled each frame with their inner and outer beauty along with their unique personalities. I had to include one of my favorites from this wedding; the bride and groom looking through the blinds to see the wedding party decorating their car. They were good sports and just enjoyed the shenanigans as they did every special moment of their entire wedding day. Enjoy your honeymoon guys and I hope you get some fun photos to show us!

Weddings are days where wishes come true. Mark and Robin were united in love with family and friends looking on at the Historic Firehouse and I was so pleased to get to be a part of their perfect day. While the day itself was definitely warm and beautiful, it didn't compare to the warmth felt at this ceremony. When it was time for the reception this group knew how to get their boogie on and party! Summer is definitely here with us and that means Summer e-sessions are a fun prelude to Winter weddings. It was nice to get a chance to get to know Tim and Julie before their wedding and see them interact naturally. We met down at the Jordan Valley Park, and after wading through the Cardinals game crowd, we found each other, we connected with some "happy-couple" shots. When we were finished, I realized we went over the hour session because I was having so much fun. Thanks guys, you are a great duo to work with and I can't wait to be at your December wedding!

"Wow" is the best way to describe the way I felt after Angela's senior session. She was a natural! She was fun, energetic, and her mom was a big help with makeup and hair. To top it off, the skies were just dynamic and I found a new favorite spot downtown to shoot. Angela is interested and involved in alot of programs at school, but with this session, I focused on her personality. Not only her smiles, but her playful and serious sides alike. She loves music, Disney, and of course her Mustang, all of which we showcased within two hours. I had a blast and can honestly say that I am stoked about this session! I Hope you and your friends enjoy them Angela!

As you can see in these photos below, Saturday's wedding could be defined by one word.....HAPPY. The wedding party made me feel right at home as soon as I walked in the door and that is key to getting natural and unique photos. I would have to say that my favorite part of the day was just walking around the church grounds looking for good backdrops for the couple and their wedding party. Tonight's wedding was an intimate but elegant family ceremony at Stonegate Glass Chapel which allowed for plenty of time with just the bride and groom. We had over an hour to capture the photos we wanted and the sun was setting at just the right time. About a mile away I found this great spot with some amazing light and a beautiful landscape so all I had to do was just add this beautiful couple and I got just what I wanted. Congratulations on your big day and I can't wait to show you the rest!

I was glad to finally get to meet Ed and Autumn for their engagement session. I am shooting their reception in November when they get back from their intimate wedding in California. Ed is a doctor and works nights, so this session started his day and finished mine. Autumn's engagement ring is so impressive, I had to get a few close shots of it. Today's wedding was the first wedding we booked for 2009, almost two years ago. This bride and groom had a vision for their big day and executed it to perfection. What's great about this is that I was there to capture it. Everything went as planned, which allowed for plenty of time to create some dynamic images. From the sorority pin tucked in the bride's dress to the heart warming memorial printed in honor of her dad who lost a tough battle to Leukemia, this wedding had all friends and family members drying the tears of joy and sadness from their eyes. I felt like I was part of the family from the minute I got there, and enjoyed every moment. Thank you Sean and Keshia, you really had the perfect wedding day!!

I have been extremely fortunate to have worked with so many great couples and this one is no exception. I have corresponded with Kim about her wedding date and even though it does not look like we will be available for their wedding, she still wanted to use us for her engagement session. I enjoyed meeting Kevin, we had a great conversation about the military and other fun topics while walking through the park. Kim and Kevin are blessed to have found each other and their happiness is evident; I just wish I was able to photograph their wedding, it would be a pleasure.

While we are thick into wedding season, portraits can be a fun break for us, and today was just that! Emily and her family came for a special birthday session. Emily just had a wonderful party to celebrate her first birthday and we did some in-studio celebrating as well; from suckers, to party hats, to a fun Winnie the Pooh cake, her 1st birthday will be one to remember! Emily's dad is a firefighter and for a special tribute to Daddy, she modeled her very own set of fireman's protective gear, complete with boots, hat, and her very own firetruck! Emily truly is one of the happiest, sweetest, babies we have been blessed to work with! What a great session! Happy Birthday, Emily!

After working with Drew and Jessica for their engagement session last Summer, I was looking forward to capturing their day with the same enthusiasm. South Haven Baptist Church was the only choice for this couple to exchange vows considering that almost everyone from Jessica's side of the family completed their nuptials there! From a Royal blue sash to highlights in the dress, to a special family heirloom locket, Jessica was ready for her groom. Drew works in the San Francisco area, and Jessica just found out that she was accepted to the school of her choice in San Francisco as well, so it's safe to say this couple has had a "red letter" week. After looking forward to the big day, it came, and went smoothly, with family and friends looking on as this happy couple begins their new life together! Congrats and best wishes Jessica and Drew!

Today's wedding was accompanied by blue skies, bright smiles, and lots of love. When I arrived to capture moments of the bride and groom getting ready, there was a calm sense of peacefulness emitting from the bride, she was just so happy her day had finally come and was ready to walk down the aisle. We took advantage of the nice weather and captured some intimate photos at a local park, as well as some of my new favorite downtown spots. After the ceremony, the couple hosted an elegant reception at the Tower Club with gourmet food, great music, and my favorite, a tasty cake! Congrats guys, your day was amazing!
