May weddings have certainly been green this year due to all the rain; and yet another rainy day we had on the 23rd, turned into the perfect day for Sonja and Filip's wedding. Such lovely touches were given to this day, like the bridesmaids bouquets all in different colors, then compiling the colors and flowers in Sonja's. With the groomsmens playing cards before the ceremony and the Burberry umbrella sheltering the couple from the rain, I tried to incorporate those small details into their photos to further illustrate their day. The trendy reception at the Randy Bacon Gallery was simple and elegant and proved to be a perfect place to celebrate this blessed union! Congrats and enjoy your photos!

It was a perfect day for an engagement session with Andy and Lauren. I wanted to try a few new spots for this session and am so glad I did. We had great success under the bridge downtown, getting some artistic angles, and of course, we had to finish with a few shots on the foot bridge on Commercial Street. I enjoyed working with you guys and can't wait to photograph your wedding next April at Drury!

Nathan and Rebecca had lots of personal touches that made their day unique. After doing their engagement shots at Jordan Valley Park, I accompanied them on their wedding day to the same spots. While planning their outdoor ceremony in the chance, unfortunate, monsoon-like weather, this Spring, it was apparent the ceremony was going to be moved indoors to Mille's Cafe. This, however, did not stop us from getting all the shots we wanted and more. Nathan and Rebecca chose vibrant colors, a lovely venue, and even had a dear friend perform their ceremony! All in all it was a great day! We wish you many happy years to come!

Fun and elegant are the two words that come to mind when I think about Jason and Leigh's weddingl day. Drury Stone Chapel is a wonderful place to tie the knot and always proves to be special for our couples that choose this venue. Jason and Leigh had their first date at Hammons Field going to a Springfield Cardinals game. So, it was really fantastic to get to commemorate that special date in wedding attire, down on the field for some fun pix! To complete their event, this easy going couple had a lovely reception complete with a candy station for the kids, and one of the most beautiful wedding cakes I have ever seen; and I have seen LOTS of cake. Yes, it was FUN and ELEGANT! Congrats and best wishes to you both!

Rainy days seem to have a way of working themselves out when it comes to wedding photos. Krista and James' big day was no exception to that theory. We started our day in Prairie Grove, AR at the First Christian Church. Mother Nature gave us just enough of a break to get some fun outdoor images. Then it was onto the private moment where James saw Krista for the first time in her dress, to their heartfelt ceremony, to the lavish reception at the Town Center in Fayetteville. These two things we knew to be certain; this couple is very much in love, and they put alot of thought and sentiment into their special day. Congratulations and best wishes from us to you!
