Krystal and Tyler had a seriously rainy day, which actually completed a perfectly romantic setting for their lovely wedding. I love rainy days and the challenge of creating something different to appease Mother Nature and to suit my clients. Krystal had planned everything down to the last detail and it really showed! Starting our day out at Drury is always a personal favorite for me, then ending at Wellington Place in the historic Gillioz theater. The couple was sweet, the day was sentimental, and the atmosphere fun and friendly. Thanks for choosing me to be a part of it--Congrats!
Here is the wedding I shot a little over a week ago at Drury Stone Chapel. I had been excited for their wedding because I know Katie and Craig are such an energetic, loving couple. After the ceremony, we went downtown with the wedding party and spent over an hour just shooting away getting both silly and intimate photos. I really enjoyed the reception which was decorated beautifully and thought it was such a great touch to have a cheese cake and cupcakes instead of the traditional wedding cake. They even had a live band playing 60's rock which got all of the guests on the dance floor! Thank you guys for such a fun day and I hope you both enjoy these teasers!
Sunday's wedding was an intimate ceremony with classy details. The bride was dressed in a beautiful wedding dress that I hadn't seen before, (I thought I had seen them all!!) and the groom in the newly popular brown tux. After the ceremony, they were greeted on their run to the Rolls Royce by their family and guests with chiming bells. We then headed to some of my favorite alleys on our way to the reception for some shots of just the bride and groom. There was plenty of fun music and good food during the reception, but the highlight was when the bride's little brother did his Michael Jackson impression, priceless! This was a great event and I hope you enjoy these photos!
Well, the Summer weddings are gone and this was the perfect wedding to finish it out. For those of you who are familiar with the Springfield area radio stations, you are surely familiar with the yearly "Battle of the Bridesmaids" contest on 96.5, in which the bridesmaids won some great prizes, one of which was a stretched Hummer. These ladies called themselves "The Ninjas" so I had to get them to strike a ninja pose with the bride. The wedding party was a great bunch to work with and we really enjoyed going downtown for the ever-random photo ops that seem to present themselves, one of which, included the groomsmen standing around Drew in the recliner we happened upon, for a Godfather style shot. The reception had so many nice touches and had a DJ that kept the party going all night. Drew and Krista, thank you for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your day and please enjoy these teasers while you are on your long honeymoon!
So this past week has been extremely busy, so instead of blogging everyday, I decided to do a blog for the whole week. I Started with Uriah, a Senior who is a talented young man interested in music composition but has a real passion for videography. The next day I went to Bolivar for the Patricia and Andrew's Senior sessions. Patricia is involved in rodeo shows with her horse, and we had to get some photos with her cute dog. Her brother, Andrew, is on the football team and was alot of fun to work with. We just drove around Bolivar to different spots that they had wanted to use for a background. Wednesday was a big family reunion in Branson, which highlighted the 90th birthday for Vern, the head of the family. They had family from all over the country come in for the event, even one person traveled from France. I finished up the week with the Wilson family, who I have worked with a few times since last November. They have a beautiful baby boy, Rhett, who I got to meet the day he was born. His twin sister, Gracie, had medical complications and was only able to be with us for a little over a month. This family holds a special place in my heart for all the hard things they have gone through this year. They are truly a loving and amazing family. I enjoyed working with all of you this last week!
